MC Finance Director candidate refuses job

A Columbia resident who was selected by the Maury County Commission to serve as finance director has turned down the job.
Ted Lovett sent an e-mail to the county this month saying he was regretfully rejecting the offer, officials said Wednesday. Lovett declined to comment when reached by phone.
