Tons of trash removed from the Duck
COLUMBIA - A record 155 volunteers helped to remove more than 10 tons of trash from the Duck River in an annual cleanup effort this month — but there’s more work to be done, a volunteer said.
Among the tons of trash picked up this year were a water heater, televisions, a grocery cart, a 55-gallon metal drum and dozens of tires.
