A former officer sues MP police chief, capt.
MT. PLEASANT — A former Mt. Pleasant police officer has filed a complaint against two of her employers for defamation after she was accused of fraud, according to documents filed with the Maury County Circuit Court.
The complaint was filed by Donna Cook against Mt. Pleasant Police Chief Tom Wilson and Captain Tommy Goetz. Cook and another officer, John Nold, were fired after an internal investigation found the two had allegedly overcharged the city for overtime hours accumulated while attending a police academy between January 6 and February 28.
