Parents eager for tax holiday
Tennesseans will get financial relief on an upcoming sales-tax holiday. The state’s third annual tax-free weekend will begin at 12:01 a.m., Aug. 1. Clothing, school supplies and computers can be purchased free of Tennessee sales tax until 11:59 p.m. Aug. 3.
In Maury County the first full day of school is Aug. 4, but July 30 is the scheduled day for enrollment. Students will have early dismissal on July 30.
