Hearing for arson suspects rescheduled

The three Columbia men charged with the arson of the Columbia Islamic Center did not appear for arraignment in Circuit Court Monday as scheduled because they are in federal custody. Their next Circuit Court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 4.

District Attorney Mike Bottoms said his office had no choice but to leave the three men in federal custody because the case remains under investigation.
