Officials urge caution over 4th holiday

COLUMBIA - A near-record drought last year prompted suggestions to decrease fireworks use, but the rockets’ red glare will glow in backyards this weekend, fire officials said.

To many people fireworks can seem like a low risk, said Cindy Fox, a Columbia Fire Department training officer.
