Polk dinner-dance set Sept. 27

The James K. Polk Association will hold its annual dinner-dance Sept. 27 at one of Maury County’s oldest homes, Antrim, which is owned by Mrs. Stuart Swope Fleming.

The black-tie event is not only one of Columbia’s most elegant evenings, it finances the preservation of the unique history of the 11th president. Proceeds from the dance preserve the James K. Polk Home, which houses more than 1,000 articles of President and Mrs. Polk and presents a history of his quite successful presidency.
