National HIV Testing Day

Friday, June 27 is National HIV Testing Day.  An estimated 250,000 people in the United States have HIV and aren’t aware of it.  National HIV Testing Day is an opportunity for people nationwide to learn their HIV status, and to gain knowledge to take control of their health and their lives.

 There are many ways you can take action in the fight against HIV/AIDS:

-get tested for HIV

-practice safe methods to prevention HIV

-decide not to engage in high risk behaviors

-talk about HIV prevention with family, friends and colleagues

-provide support to people living with HIV/AIDS
