Landfill vote draws ire

Landfill opponents filled every seat in the county commission’s chambers and lined the walls during a meeting of the Maury County Board of Zoning Appeals Wednesday. The board voted 3-1 in favor of allowing the proposal to move forward.

MAURY COUNTY - Two Mt. Pleasant aluminum companies are one step closer to putting a landfill north of Columbia.
