County ready for ‘war’ over shelter
Maury County commissioners spoke strongly Thursday in opposition to a proposal by Columbia officials to take control of the animal shelter with one member saying it may be necessary to “go to war” if a solution is not reached soon.
The commission’s Administration Committee voted unanimously to reject a contract drafted by the Columbia City Council that would result in the city overseeing the facility.
